We are a new media company publishing websites that focus on energy, the environment and sustainable living. By leading the conversation about green issues, LiveOAK aims to advance the principles of sustainability by making them meaningful and accessible to a mainstream audience.
The accumulation of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere can be a difficult concept to visualize (maybe something to do with the fact that CO2 is invisible). So if you’re a visual learner like me, you’ll want to watch this clever short made by the Energy Saving Campaign [45 seconds].
Timothy Hurst is the editor at Ecopolitology and Earth & Industry as well as the executive editor of the LiveOAK Media Network. He writes mostly about energy and environmental politics, clean tech, infrastructure and green business. When not reading, writing, or talking about environmental politics to anyone who will listen, Tim likes to ski, hike with his aging lab and get dirty in his Colorado veggie garden. Find Tim on Google+.
That is a wonderful visual explanation–would be great for kids’ educational programs.

Tim,
Great video.
Excellent example of making a concept STICK.
Reminds me of the anecdote in the book MADE TO STICK where they talked about how the CSPI was able to communicate to people how bad movie theater popcorn was for them by laying out a bacon and egg breakfast, a Big Mac and fries, and a steak dinner to show how much saturated fat is in ONE bag.
People finally understand and the press covered it.
