There's a good chance you've caught wind of the recent PR push from Texas oilman, T. Boone Pickens. In fact, if you're reading this at ecopolitology (as opposed to reading an RSS feed), there's a very good chance there's an advertisement for the PickensPlan above. "The Plan" is to organize a concerted political push for the development of electric cars, smart grids, natural gas, wind, solar, and other clean, (and some not-so-clean) domestic energy resources in the U.S. It is being billed as:

"A blueprint to reduce foreign oil dependence by harnessing domestic energy alternatives, and buy us time to develop even greater new technologies...Building new wind generation facilities and better utilizing our natural gas resources can replace more than one-third of our foreign oil imports in 10 years."
