In November, an anonymous hacker released several emails scraped off a server used by the Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia. The emails showed attempts by researchers at the CRU to stifle scientific works that did not support the theory of anthropogenic global warming and the unwillingness of said researchers to share their data with the larger scientific community.
