Vandana Shiva
Vandana Shiva is a grassroots organizer and a strong advocate for biodiversity and changes to our current agricultural system. She founded Navdanya biodiversity conservation program, an organization focused on raising awareness about the dangers of genetic engineering and defending people's food rights. In the 20 years since its founding, Navdanya has helped set up 54 community seed banks in India and trained over 500,000 farmers in seed sovereignty, food sovereignty and sustainable agriculture.
