A CLEAR-er Alternative to Cap-and-Trade? Cantwell-Collins Climate Bill Explained (Video)

The office of Senator Maria Cantwell (D-Washington) today released a video explaining how the the Carbon Limits and Energy for America's Renewal or, CLEAR Act, works. The bill is cosponsored by Sen. Cantwell and Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine), and is being sold as an alternative to the better known Kerry-Lieberman cap-and-trade bill currently being considered by the Senate, the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act.

The Cantwell-Collins bill is being marketed as a simpler alternative for climate legislation -- hence the 'CLEAR' acronym -- but it has been criticized by some for not making deep enough cuts in carbon emissions.
