6) Dell
Apparently, Dell doesn't want to see global warming get out of hand. Dell was #2 in Newsweek's 2009 Green Rankings of US companies. It uses the fourth most renewable energy of any major US company. Energy use of its desktop and laptop computers has been cut dramatically in the last year. It became carbon neutral in 2008. And it leads its industry in product take-back and recycling programs. Need more to convince you that it has a strong green gene? It has also planted in "solar trees" at its headquarters in Round Rock, Texas -- solar powered charging stations for hybrid and electric cars.
