Limbaugh claims "We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the whole idea of man-made global warming is a hoax"
The American Geophysical Union made big news this week when it announced plans to renew its Climate Q&A Service, a program that seeks to connect scientists with journalists who have questions about global warming science. Over 700 scientists threw their support behind the project which was framed by an LA Times article, incorrectly, as an advocacy campaign put together in response to a rising tide of conservative climate skepticism that swept into Capitol Hill on an Election Day "Republican Wave."
Regardless of where on the spectrum of political action the effort actually sits, Rush Limbaugh used the news to do exactly what the group was formed to help combat: spread misinformed and/or misleading statements about global warming and climate science. Ironic, isn't it?
