Let me preface what I'm about to share with by expressing my deepest gratitude to anyone (spammers and haters excepted) who takes the time to write an email or submit a comment, tip or story idea. And although our comment form was broken for a few months, unbeknownst to us, we not only welcome, but we put a high value and priority on any feedback.

Unfortunately, we don't have the time or resources to answer all of it, but we definitely read all of it, so keep it coming.

In that vein, we're going to start publishing some of the best, worst, funniest, lamest, nicest and most vitriolic letters, comments, pitches and emails we receive every week. There will be no rules to speak of, but we'll generally publish them in their original/unedited form (with any names normally redacted to protect the innocent). In general, the emails will speak for themselves but we may choose to add some context or publish our response.

To kick things off, here is one of those that needs no context:

I am   working on an interesting invention that is in your area of endeavor.    It would take about 5 minutes to determine it’s viability  for someone with a basic understanding  of our atmosphere.       I’m listing a number of  things that this invention could  do and although they’re strange please consider that many scientific ideas or inventions were once thought impossible before they were proven.   The following are a few possibilities:

1. STOP GLOBAL WARMING AND EVEN REVERSE IT.

2. STOP HURRICANS.  “EVEN CANCEL HURRICANE SEASON”  AND MOST TORNADOS

3.  STOP OR PREVENT DROUGHT

4.  BREAKUP  KILLER HEATWAVES.   SUCH AS THE ONE  IN EUROPE   IN  2003 IN WHICH MORE THEN 37000 PEOPLE DIED

5. DIMINISH  THE EFFECTS  OF EL NINO

6.   STOP OR PREVENT MASS FLOODING SUCH AS THE 1993 FLOOD IN THE MIDWEST.  ALSO KNOWN AS THE 500 YEAR FLOOD.

7.  REGROW THE GLAISERS ON MOUNTAINS  AND THE POLAR ICE  CAPS

8.  CREATE  AN ICE AGE IN ABOUT 50 YEARS?
ACCUALLY IF WE BUILD AROUND 10 TO 20  MILLION  OF THESE MACHINES AND THEN TURNED THEM ALL ON WE COULD HAVE AN ICE AGE IN 2 TO 5 YEARS.

We could do this even with co2 at a level of 100,000 ppm.

BASICALLY, I  FIGURED OUT A WAY  TO UTILIZE THE EARTH’S MOLECULAR CONSTRUCT TO OVERCOME THE SUN’S ABILITY TO WARM THE PLANET.

Soon I will have secured  my patent and then I plan to send a copy to a number of science magazines and organizations such as yours (if interested), NASA and NSF for scientific assessment.
