The White House has just released some footage of President Obama and his family's visit to Yellowstone National Park in the summer of 2009. Featuring interviews with Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, historical documentarian Ken Burns and Yellowstone Park Rangers, the short movie is a little more produced than what you might be used to seeing from the White House communications office. But I'm not posting it just for its educational value.

Yellowstone National Park has a long history of presidential visits. In the video, a Yellowstone Park Ranger runs through the history of presidential visits and jumps from Bill Clinton to Barack Obama, curiously omitting the president that held office for eight years between the two, George W. Bush. Is that just an omission or did Bush the Younger really never visit Yellowstone as president during his eight years in office?
