I often wrestle with whether I should even bother writing about or publishing videos of Glenn Beck. Certainly, he says some pretty outlandish things entirely bent on getting attention for them, other times he says things he is completely sincere about but doesn't see why people think he's crazy.
For example, late last week Beck had a guest on his program from the Cornwall Alliance touting the group's new DVD, “Resisting the Green Dragon,” which claims the climate change movement is a “false religion.” In response to the guest's comment that "[Climate change] is an unproven hypothesis... that has been thoroughly trashed by climategate and other things of that sort," Beck replies that the only constant is change and that we should "develop a society that can withstand the changes."
Oddly, developing a society that can withstand climate change sounds like the kind of stuff that Beck spends seven days a week arguing against. Am I naive to even wonder whether I'll ever hear exactly what Beck means by that statement? Watch it:
